I work with a variety of clients including:
- Adult Individuals
In individual therapy I help my clients to explore and understand their core beliefs, feelings, behaviors, and interpersonal interactions. Understanding issues as they come up in the therapeutic relationship, as well as in your outside life, leads to deeper self-awareness and more satisfying ways of being. I work with clients to gain greater insight into their true needs and wants so they can make choices that best serve them.

Relationships can offer intimacy, support, and security, yet too often problems keep partners from enjoying these unique and invaluable benefits. Most couples experience conflict, but how we deal with the conflict is an important aspect of the relationship. Therapy can open up a safe and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and misunderstandings in a way that facilitates growth and connection.
I work with couples on a variety of issues including:
- Conflict or Tension
- Difficulty Communicating
- Intimacy and Sexuality Issues
- Family Distress
- Pre-Marital Concerns
- Money Issues

Adolescents and Families
Adolescence is invariably a period of growth that at times can be turbulent and difficult for the whole family. It is a critical time for identity development as your child experiences significant changes. Youth are left with the monumental task of negotiating their place in a constantly changing world while at the same time attempting to find a unique way of being that is separate from parents and the family. This often leads to confusion and frustration for kids and parents alike. Therapy can help children and adolescents foster a greater understanding of themselves, build skills for communicating effectively, develop a healthy sense of self, and resolve conflicts both inside and outside the home. Families who see me can examine their ability to solve problems and express their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.

I offer a free initial consultation over the phone. I believe in giving everyone the opportunity to discuss why they are seeking therapy without obligation. This time also allows us to see if our working together will be a good fit for you. Sessions after your initial consultation generally last 50 minutes.
I accept cash, checks, or credit card.
Sessions may be covered in part by PPO health insurance plans. I will provide you with a health insurance claim form that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please note that I am considered an “out-of-network” provider.
You can check your coverage by asking your insurance company the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session for an out-of-network provider?
Psychotherapy services may also be reimbursed under your Flex Plan or medical saving account.
Once an appointment hour is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation (unless we both agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control).
